With all the discussions and various opinions, lets find some common ground on the FA's that Pistons try to pursue. Pick as many as you like and we'll have Pistons roster based on the FA's that get the most votes.

I voted for quite a few guys and here is why some of them got my vote.

Ben Gordon - because it opens the possibility to trade Rip and bring in more talent. Gordon also has a very good game and is young.

Ron Artest - Yes I choose him. He has stayed out of trouble lately and I love his game. He can shoot the 3 and play in the post. Good defender and not scared to guard LeBron. I highly doubt we even look at him because well you know but really you cant say he doesnt have a great game.

Trevor Ariza - would be a cheaper SF to sign that is solid. Pretty good defender, slasher, and 3 point shooter.

Charlie Villanueva - Think he is a pretty good PF. Has good range and can score very well. Not a great rebounder but is cheaper than some of the other PF's and would allow us to sign another big name.

David Lee - Really like him as a rebounder and his offensive game is improving too. Few years he could really be a top PF in the league. Cheaper than Boozer and put up similar type numbers.

Marcin Gortat - solid young C who would come somewhat cheap. Has a decent post game and is a good rebounder and defender.

Drew Gooden - I think he would be a very good backup to have. He did well in SA last year and is still pretty young...27 I think. Is a good rebounder and has a ok post game.

Carlos Boozer - Wish he didnt have injury issues because he is very good. Really like his toughness in the paint and offensive game and a solid rebounder.

I guess Joe has his work cut out for him in order to please us. The top vote getters are:

    Lee
    Okur
    Millsap
    Gortat

The consensus is in: Pistons need a big man.

That is weird. Those were the only 4 I voted for.

Dumars is probably going after Frye, Glen Davis, and Shawn Marion.

    Marvin Williams > Tay

Can actually play the 4 when asked. Was drafted before CP3 and Deron Williams. ATL has done a good job with young talent, so I trust them.

    Young.

The lack of votes for him is disappointing.

I think that it is more about Pistons need than thinking that guys like Marv are not worth going after.

Right now we have Kwame + Maxiell as our only bigs.

I chose Ron Artest because it's time to return to the old ways. Time to be feared by others. We need a Ron Artest to whoop LeBron off the court because you know that Ron Artest isn't going to just stand and watch LeBron dunk on like Prince did.

With no Yao next season and TMAC on the block, I am certain the Rockets will try their best to resign Ronny. However with that being said, Artest seeing that his team may be a long shot to make it out of the first round, let alone the playoffs w/o Tmac and Yao may decide to move on to a team that can contend...like the Pistons??

Right now all factors still point to Gordon and Villaneuava, unless there is a wild card that we don't know about that could have [STRIKE]orchestrated[/STRIKE] tampered with the firing.

Okur has opted to stay in Utah.

No Birdman? I thought he was a FA.

I voted for Millsap, Gortat, and Lee. I also would've voted for Andersen.

How about Ramon Sessions? Surprised no one has really mentioned his name around these parts.

He's staying right where he is. That's why Villanueva was let go (partially).

I hope so. I'd take the Polish Hammer over Chandler any day.

Ben Gordon.Yes he doesn't play D,but he's a great scorer and he's fantastic at 4th period and hiting buzzer beaters.I love RIP but he isn't our future and for now we can get a good player for him.

Paul Millsap.A Dumars type of player,he shown us that he can be 20-10 player and he's still developing and he's a team player.I don't want a Carlos Boozer player who only plays O and no real D.

Glen Davis. If we don't get Millsap I think Big Babby would be a great fit for the Pistons and he's also cheap around 6mln.
