I usually don't make a lot of threads but I'm on a roll lately. There were some interesting responses in this article but the ones from Chauncey and AI were pretty interesting.

Scoop Jackson: Who would the NBA All-Stars like to be? - ESPN Page 2

besides those comments, which NBA player would you choose? I'd probably pick Dwight Howard and just throw down massive dunks all day, try to touch the top of the backboard, etc.

The Chauncey thing is kind of sad.

Also can somebody else please explain to me what Scoop Jackson finds so self-evident below:

"For LeBron, it took more than a minute to answer. He needed a day to think. Then, when he did settle on one player, it explained more about his total understanding and appreciation of the game. Read deep into his answer and you'll find many answers on why he is who he is and why he is who he's going to be."KG," LeBron said. "The game, the personality, everything. Plus, he has a ring. If I could be one other player, it would be KG.""

What? What are these many answers we are supposed to be able to discover in this? God these [strike]sychophants [/strike] journalists irritate me.

Lindsey Hunter and Kevin Porter also wore #1 in Detroit.

Besides, after the Pistons win the title this season with AI, people will be saying "Chauncey who?"

Dwyane Wade... who wouldn't wanna live in South Beach where you can go to all the sex parties you want? :smoke06:

I'd definitely adjust his wardrobe though... the stuff he wears off the court is downright comical.

Yeah what was the deal with the blue patch/tape/bandaid he wore under his left eye with Wade on it?

During the rookie challenge game, I thought he and even DHoward were about to go out and sell bean pies. Oops, sorry if I may have offended any of one out there who know what this means...:)

i did not want to read that. I remember people speculating about how upset he must have been about the jersey #, and some saying he didn't care. This is like the third comment he's made about it.

Chauncey should eventually realize that him placing more importance on wearing #1 than winning championships as #1 is one of the reasons why he is in Denver.

And how. It speaks volumes about where his head is at, if he's playing for Denver, but worried about his legacy in Detroit.

Uhm, who cares about Chauncey's feelings? Chauncey isn't a Piston.

There are a lot of reasons to be frustrated at Joe over. But they relate to the Pistons as they are currently constituted, not Chauncey Billups' inflated sense of self-importance in the history of the NBA.
