I personally would like to see Bill Laimbeer...if we are gonna get a former player with no experience...and I dont count currys asst time as experience. Laimbeers Head coaching experience in the wnba is more experience than MCs asst time.
Plus Billy was a main cog in the bad boys back to back wins...and would demand a heck of a lot more respect.

you cant win anything early in the season...but you can certainly lose it. A team will quit on a coach, and installing a new system late in a season could be far more difficult. Im not saying fire him immediately..Im just saying I would like to hear other peoples opinions of who Joe coulda gone with. I have been waiting to see who if anyone will give Bill a shot at HC

The Pistons definitely lack an inside presence. At 8'2", Big Bird would certainly contend shots. If you pair up Snuffleupagus in the lane with BB, now you can clog up the lane against any team in the association.

I would like to see Bill as our head coach. He would definitely put fire up under their asses seriously. But I would really like to see........Pound for Pound back but I know that's not going to happen at all.

Who would want LB back? He didn't even win a Championship that second year and he ruined Darko's psyche.

And your point is??? I know a couple of people that would like him back. He didn't win a championship that second year?? Were you paying attention cause if you were you would've seen that the refs took us out of that game. And Darko is crap!!! I don't know why everyone like him so much...he's garbage!!

Yeah if MC fails, Thibideau would be great choice to restore the D in Detroit. But you are right, this will only happen in the off season not the mid season.

But if you have to keep it in house then Laimbeer is my choice

If things were going poorly, I'm not sure if I would replace a guy with one year of NBA coaching experience with a guy with zero years of NBA coaching experience. I'd go with a retread.
