With Flip having unleashed our offense and the guys shooting so well, who will have the best Tre %.
except for maybe dirk we also have the best 3 point shooting big man in sheed. chauncey and tay can hit that 3 we know that. also i saw rip hit a big 3 in that phoenix game so he's improving his range.
If Darko goes 1 for 2, he shoots 50% and could win. Everybody but Mo is stroking it now.
Re: Who'll be our best Tre Shooter? Mid Season checkup It's , he's shooting .492% but he's only trying about 1.5 a game. C'Note is at .442%, solid. Sheed is at .382%, not bad, but he's been missing as of late. I think if he can take a full second to eye it and buy it, his % goes way up. Tay is at .362%, not real bad. Dyess and BBen are .000% they don't try any!! <----Pistons shooting!!!
Although Rip is shooting the 3 great this year the man is Billups. I would want him to take the 3 to tie/win the game over Rip almost anytime.
I would want Sheed, BupBup and Rip good and warmed up with the Tre long before that last shot is needed. [Set and open, eyeing it and buying it]
Re: Who'll be our best Tre Shooter? update I used DetNews NBA stats to find this: is shooting the Tre at the best rate in all of the NBA - .455 % But he only attempts about 1.7 a game. Next best are 3 Suns, Barbosa, Nash and R. Bell Bup-Bup-Bup is 6th best in the league at .420 % and makes about 2.3 a game. I believe there're only 2 playas avg. better than CBs 2.3 made per game. Nash and Allen. That would be Ray Allen, of the Sonics he avgs. about 3.3 made Tres a game and that is a whole tre better than anyone else. He hits about .400 %
Sheed ranks #6 at 3pt attempts while shooting "only" 36%. Somebody should tell him that he ain't white and he ain't playing for the Mavericks but for the Pistons.
The best tre shooter in the regular season doesn`t always equate to the best in the post season. I will say Peja will be the best shooter from the arc in the playoffs. I am not even a closet Pacer fan, I just believe he will be their only bright spot come playoff time. Now for us, it depends on the situation and when we need it. In crunch time I would say CB. The other 3 quarters Rip, for the simple fact he has a high %. Sheed by far, if you want to know who will TAKE the most 3`s. If Sheed catches fire, he could be our best 3 launcher!
That's cold blooded Ralphi... Only in a couple of games has Sheed poor bombing hurt us. We need Sheed confident for the playoffs. It's OK for everyone to bomb.
Re: That's cold blooded Ralphi... Did anyone have a problem with the team shooting 15 for 22 from downtown? I know I said they will shoot 75% tre but the 68% from last night can be improved upon.
In hindsight, looks like maybe Lindsey should've been added to this poll. :P
See what good coaching can do.
Re: That's cold blooded Ralphi... Amir Johnson = 66%
Re: That's cold blooded Ralphi... FP22, AJ doesn't shoot tres? And he's not on the team now. Aside from that very impressive.
I feel Tay is our best cold Tre Shooter... he won't try one unless he's in good position and completely wide open. Sheed needs momentum and CB needs big-shot pressure of 4th qtr.
Re: Who'll be our best Tre Shooter? In the playoffs... Alright, who'll be our best playoff bomber? Get down on total and best %. ------------------------------------------ Sheed will shoot the most. will have the best % ------------------------------------------ D59 is excluded from this thread. ------------------------------------------ 2sd best % will be Lenz. That's my long shot.
Re: Who'll be our best Tre Shooter? In the playoffs... Grim, Sheed is being serious now. He's concentrating like he should.
