Meaning which player plays good enough to tease you into thinking that he's going to become a great player with flashes of great play and then never does.

Sirius radio had about 16 different guys they discussed today.

Partial list ( add to them if you think of some):
Eddie Curry, Larry Hughes, Stephen Marbury, Al Harrington, Ben Gordon, Luel Deng, Kirk Hienrich, Paul Gasol, Lamar Odom.

Now they discussed it with the idea that they played for a few years to have a resume of work to look at.

No Pistons were mentioned nor Ben Wallace because you get exactly what you expect every game. These guys are considered inconsistent too much.

Instead of Al Harrington, I'm gonna go with Othello Harrington. I always thought he'd be great.

Adrei Kirilenko, when he's on his game the Jazz are unbeatable, when he's M-I-A, Williams and Boozer have to carry the load alone because Memo is M-I-A thi season also.

I agree. Juan "Pepe" seemed destined for greatness that somehow eluded him.

    "Glinny" for sure.

He seemed to be a perfect fit in any number of hypothetical rotations.

I don't know if I'm allowed to include coaches but Gar Heard did a brilliant job filling in for LB and never lived up to his promise.

OK guys enough of the horse play. Let's get for real, Pepe sucked and you all knew it, same could be said for Glinny. Now with that said let's get BACK 2 BUSINESS!!!!.........Rodney White!!!!! The 2nd coming of MJ. Seriously dude is over seas (Ethiopia) avg like a quintuple - triple.....100pts...100rebs....100asts...100blocks....100steals....100felonies.....the team is scoring like 240 pts/game. his ast/to ratio is like 500.

The emergence of Rodney White as the Michael Jordan of the Ethiopian League confirms what I already knew: Rodney just needed a coach who could understand him.

Plus the more informal rules...call your own fouls, shirts and skins etc....seems to work for him too.

    In all seriousness...

As a longtime follower of Kentucky basketball, I thought that Nazr Mohamed and Antoine Walker would be excellent pros. Although both have managed to hold a job for many years, I don't consider either of those guys to be outstanding.

I thought Tayshaun would be an Allstar by his third year. I think I was right about that... if he wasn't playing for the Pistons.

Anther college kid that I thought would be great (next MJ kinda kid) was Joseph Forte from UNC. I think he might be playing in Somalia and facing off against Rodney White.

Keith Bogans. He plays, he contributes... but I expected a little more.

Mateen Cleaves. I expected much more from Mateen.

I know many of us saw Mateen in the March Madness his final season. He was a true leader out on the court. he played like a warrior. What happened to THAT player ?

Warrior - Schmorrior, don't nobody give a darn about that if your Jumper was/is as ugly as Mateens was. Boy couldn't hit the broadside of a barndoor. Great floor general though, I just knew he was the second coming of Avery Johnson........I guess he just didn't have his DAAYYVID (bad AJ impersonation) on his squad.
