I never knew this before, but Tayshaun Prince chose 22 as his jersey number to represent the 22 teams that didn't draft him (we picked him in the first round and the 23rd pick). I thought that was pretty cool.

    Excellent observation.

Doubt if it means anything. You are the only person who has discovered this.

    No Max, he's right.

I read it in an article as well yesterday. I can't remember which one though. I believe it was in the Detroit Free Press Preview.

Interesting info. I thought it was because Tayshaun wore #21 at Kentucky and our #21 is retired for Dave Bing. Wow!!

sorry max, wrong on both accounts :)

I posted this in the "Pistons Misfits" thread, but nobody answered me:

I also remember the tidbit MotownPride mentioned in the paper, because it finally answered my question.

    Draft Position

Prince was saying something last week about who was it Dunlevee? Drafted in the top 10 who got a offer from GS that Prince had to beat. I thought that was a bit odd that he would mention draft position.

I heard a recent interview from Dan Marino who was also drafted late. He said at the time it did not bother him but after he started surpasing all the QB's drafted ahead of him it was something he thought about.
