Does any Pistons player have a ligit shot at winning it?

If not, who do you guys think will win it?

My pick to win it is KG if none of the Big Three miss a significant number of games.

    Second choice is Nash

This sounds plausible. I'd probably throw in LBJ, especially if they don't bring back Pavlovic and the crazy guy.

I see where you coming from on your choice.

I was thinking just the opposite of you. I was thinking that if the Cavs don't sign those two guys this year then they will be worse than last year and even though the King will have a better year numbers wise it won't be enough to compensate for Pavlovic and Varaejo's absence therefore he wouldn't win the award.

But you could be correct in that the King may put up even greater numbers this year and as a result the Cavs will have a better season record thereby getting him the vote for MVP.

I know everyone wants to speculate on a MVP, but its seems to early to select an MVP and champion in my opinion...but that what folks like to do...I don't think any Pistons will be in the running unless Pistons breakout to with big lead over the their division foes in the firs 30 games, CB is averagng 22 and 12, and MVP hype for him is in full affect. :eyebrows:

Well Pav already signed a three year deal today per NBA TV, so that's one signed and one to go. James still has a chance, but will the team be in the top 5 in the ECF?

KG would be an obvious MVP choice, but I still think the other supastarz on the team offset his stats. He could get doubled team for part opf the season and Pierce winds up still being the teams real star:laugh:

If Boston puts up an impressive record it will be KG, hands down. The resurgence of the Celtics coupled with the Red Sox's sweeping World Series win and a successful New England Pats run would be a great sports story.

That depends on your perspective. If you are an ESPNofile then I agree with you. But if you dislike all things Boston including clam chowder than who cares.

What feel good story doesn't depend on your perspective? Boston teams have a strong fan following, that's my point. ESPN and other sports writers will eat it up.

I guess it is a matter of perspective. When I was young I ate my share of it, but I guess when you get older you get a little more health conscious.

My perspective is that I get older, I am going to get a lot less health conscious.

Most folks' idea of any clam chowder doesn't call for bacon, butter, and half and half. :)

Those ingredients left me wondering if I should follow the chowder with a glass of bourbon and a cigar or just cut the crap and make them both part of the recipe's ingredients.
