Yeah, they've actually started to invest in the offense the past couple of years. But it all started with their D.

The offensive players have been pretty interchangeable - including their "skill" positions. They've had a revolving door at QB and RB.

I wish the Cowboys fail for two good picks.

Lion's with #1 pick. Looks pretty accurate.

The Lions have been absolutely terrible this year and it looks like they might finally have reached rock bottom. On the bright side they will likely have a very high draft pick next April and with Matt Millen now gone a new era can finally begin. Detroit has plenty of needs but with the #1 overall pick you need to land a true difference maker and building block, which probably means a quarterback. Just a junior, Matthew Stafford is widely regarded to be the premier pro quarterback prospect in the college game and it looks like he will be a Top 5 pick if he opts to come out early. At 6-3 and 237 pounds Stafford has a solid build and is a pretty good athlete but what really sets him apart from the rest of the pack is his amazing arm strength. Stafford isn't a finished product just yet but he has all the tools you look for and is potentially the type of guy you can build a team around. Defensive end and offensive tackle are also options but they can address them with their other first rounder. The Golden Rule of the NFL Draft is unless you already have a franchise signal caller you don't pass on one and, believe me, Dan Orlovsky and Drew Stanton are not franchise quarterbacks...

Don't we need a running QB who is concussion proof?

No junior is a franchise QB. I asked Gil Brandt and Pat Kirwan agrees there isn't any. Mock drafts are as stupid as :stooges:.
Add who is still owning the team and the idiots that are still in charge, :stooges::stooges:

That's BS. How do they know how good Stanton will be before he throws a pass????

Irregardless, they need to grab that OSU Gingivitis guy, or Laura Litus or whatever his/her name is. He was a one man wrecking crew against MSU. No more glamor positions. Draft a foundation. Get some linebackers.

Yeah Gingivitus reminds me of another Ohio State guy who had a pretty good run with the Lions...Chris Spielman.

One step closer to perfection with todays lost

...when is Marenelli's last day and is Lloyd Carr ready to finish out the season on an interim basis?? After all he is good for at least 7-8 wins a season....

A good idea. Bring in anybody just to stop the pain. I was thinking of Gary Moeller.

And did you guys notice this:

I'm fairly confident that WCF found that to be the most important statistic of the night...

    Yes.

Orlovsky stinks. He continues to throw to CJ when the guy is triple-teamed. This team is unwatchable. I'd call it The Curse of Barry Sanders, but they stunk when they had him, too.

Lions will have to draft a QB if it turns out Stanton is not the answer. I say let Stanton play the last 8 games and if he stinks, draft a QB. Gotta do something to keep Calvin Johnson happy. Nobody wants to play for this team. Or watch it. Worst franchise in pro sports.

New coach and QB are needed for sure. For a team to be shut out in the second half after putting up 23 in the first half is mind boggling...oops, upside my head its the Lions....

That missed PAT after the first TD and then that INT in the endzone were the typical things that only happen to the Lions. With Cincinnati finally winning today, the Lions are probably the only team in the midwest, college or pro without a victory..

Actually...I want to thank the LIONS. With ZERO wins, they are still doing worse than my WOLVERINES...:eyebrows:
