After reading some rumblings about Zach Radolph and Chris Kaman on Hoopshype, I started thinking if you would do this deal?
    HoopsHype - NBA Rumors

Zach Randolph: Goes to Clippers ($14.66 million, $16M, $17.3M)

Chris Kaman + Filler or trade exception: To the Pistons ($9.5M, $10.4M, $11.3M, $12.2M)

Rasheed Wallace: To New York ($13.68M)

In my opinion, I would be tempted to do this. Kaman is much younger. It may cost the pistons some cap room next year and beyond but Kaman is worth the risk.

Younger yes, but no where near as good.

    Just say no.

I need to see Kaman and Dwight Howard H2H stats in order to formulate an opinion on this.

Most of Sheed's contributions show up in negative stats, or rather the diminished output of his defensive assignment.

Corrupt minds think alike... I was thinking the same deal after reading this mornings rags.
I do the deal... Sheed is not a better defender at this stage in his career... he's good at man D in the paint... but lacking lateral quickness to recover and help (lots of matadors lately).
The shot selection improves and the rebounding improves... this gives us a center for several years and still allows us to sign a max contract in 10/11.
If we're talking about Sheed in 04 then not a chance... if we're talking about today's aging chucker... hell yeah.
The odds are that we would not pick up a better F.A. next summer.

Kaman is in the midst of a pretty awful season. There's a reason why some players our on teams that are not very good, and it's not always their teammates. Elton Brand can tell you about that.

I haven't seen this aging chucker you speak of this season. This is a trade for the future which doesn't really make sense since getting AI means we're trying to win this year.

I would keep Rasheed and do this deal with Rip and Amir.

Good point. Why keep the Grieving Richard Hamilton, when we could probably pick up Cuttino and get a shot at the read deal!

Oh, I forgot to add a big no to this trade. Sheed brings too many intangibles to the table that Kaman is lacking.

I would not give up Rip or Amir just yet. I think they are going to be fine once the team plays together for 25+ games. Sheed is gone next year unless he takes Mcdyess money (~ $5M) to stay here, which I think is not realistic. He will bolt to Charlotte next year. Bobcats will pay him 8-9 mill next year.

I would rather go after a less injury prone big man. Also someone that is more versatile.

I wouldn't do it. Not that much of a Kaman fan.

Merc...I remember when you wanted us to go after Antoine Walker too...well, I guess this would be better than that;)

I'd give up Rip and Amir and Acker for Mobley and Kaman and Eric Gordon

    Getting Kaman would be nice.

Giving up Sheed for him wouldn't be nice.

    I like Dre's idea better.

Why would the Clips do this deal? Give up both Mobley and Kaman and a young guard in Eric Gordon for essentailly Rip plus 2 backups. It doesn't make sense.

    Plus the salaries don't match.

    Mobley (~$9M), Kaman (~$9.5M), Gordon ($2.6M) for a total of ~ $21M.

    Rip ~ $11M, Amir - $3.66M, Acker less than $1M for a total of ~$16M.

I think some of these trade machines should have a giant boot come out when you submit some of these suggestions.

Mobley is on the decline. Rip and Amir for Kaman and Eric Gordon would be sweet.
