For me, the "Cindy" scenario is a bit more long term. I wanna see Pav deke his butt and beat him for one goal. Helmer do the same for another.
During the post-game handshake, "Cindy" is visably upset with tears streaming down his face.
    - Fast forward 15 years where Crosby still hasn't been back to the finals and has his agent contacts Steve Yzerman (the Wings GM who replaced Kenny Holland) to set up a minimum salary deal to sign with the Wings as a 4th liner in order to finally win his cup.

There are indicators that I follow during a series. All sorts of analysis have added up to an ominous feeling. Even before the series began, I felt that this was ours to win, but that the longer it went, it would favor the other guys...

I'm dreading this game tonight. My head tells me the Wings are going to win. But that "ominous feeling" you are referring to has been following me since that game six loss. Something bad is waiting in the wings (no pun intended) and the Wings better be really good to keep it at bay.

Crosby could explode tonight. One game anything can happen. NHL kept this series alive. Now anything could...must...not...think...about...it.

I feel the same way DT..anything can happen and I am nervous. I may have to find my Redwings champion t shirt from last year and put it on. I have never worn it.

......the last two Detroit teams to go to do or die in a finals both lost. (2005 Pistons to San Antonio and 2007 Shock to Phoenix). Not to mention the 1988 Pistons. In fact the last Detroit team to win a title in seven games was possibly the 68 Tigers??? Somebody check me on this...

I'm just looking forward to the hardest fought game of hockey of the season. Maximum effort, minimum referee involvement. Should be one of the purest sporting events of the year, win or lose.

Lids has been hiding a groin injury.
You guys are as excited as a bunch of little girls.
I'd like to see Zetts beat-up Cindy but man on girl violence isn't accepted.
Happy Feets plastered against the boards. 5 on 1 all nite.

Wings looked a tad slow in the first, if not for Ozzie, we could be down a couple. The Pinqs defense has gotten better and their sticks break up every chance the Wings get. Looks like they needed that intermission ...

In the tradition of Joe Lewis and Muhammad Ali (who is attendance) the red wings are delivering the blows, but need to deliver the knockout blow...

Stuart is playing like a goat. Wings defense playing like crap for the second straight game.

To careless and andnot hungry enough. Ref let an icing go too, that would have negated that goal

Just not sharp. The drop off from Lidstrom and Rafalski, to Stuart is big. Then Kronwall, and Lebda and Ericsson. When you best defensemen have been 3 & 4 this series, that's not good enough.

The wings top forwards have been real ho hum too. 4th liners can't be your best players game after game. I understand Hossa's problems but Dats and Zetts have been poor and Homer, Samuellson, Mule and the little guy, not good enough.

Need to play with a lot more aggression and speed.

Stuart again. This guy is trying to single handedly lose the Stanley Cup.

    What an idiot.

Yeah, out for some Chinese food for me. I can't stomach this. Penguins playing like they deserve to win this game, but I'm not so sure they didn't get some help to stick around in this series.

Sometimes I wish we could cuss in here.:yellowprison:
