Great victory. We dominated in shots on goal, and won by a comfortable margin (with two goals in the last five minutes), but still a pretty tight game through most of the third period.
I want the last game to be close. I'd like to actually see the Ducks outshoot us. Let Ozzie win the game on acrobatic goaltending. I wish for a one goal victory with the winning Red Wing goal being of the controversial type. Make em PAY......
Nemo, you are being greedy. LOL. I will take a victory however we can get one. It is easier on the nerves if it is lopsided (like that game seven, 7 to 0 win over the Avalanche in the 2002 Stanley Cup playoff run).
The referee screwed up the call on the Helms goal. It wasn't as big, but I'd say we are even. I'll take the next win any way we can get it. Great game. My favorite Wings scored (Franzen and Hudler).

I haven't followed McCarty's status in recent months. He hasn't played since December, right? Is he eligible to play in the playoffs? He had a hat trick in that 7 to 0 drubbing of the Avalanche in the playoffs in 2002 (when we won the cup).
