    Full speed ahead!

Too bad this isn't a strike shortened season where we would only have to tank for 60 games instead of the full 82.

Congrats to Slippery and BDL for correctly predicting that the Pistons would win 1 of their first 9 games. I guessed 2 wins. If coach would have simply showed some effort in trying to win, I think I would have had it correct.

With the Wizards at 0-7, technically we are even with them in the standings at 1-8. It could be a dog fight (if Stuckey hurries back).

In hindsight, seven may not have been the best choice.

I think the record looks much worse than it really is. If you throw out the games where the coach refused to win, that really leaves the OKC game, and the Philly game. OKC was a close one that could have gone either way, and the Philly game was a blowout. This team is clearly playing .500 ball right now, and riding high on a one game winning streak. Once the coach gets a clue, a few tweaks of minutes here and there should lead us to the playoffs.

This refusal to win by Frank has to be frustrating for the players. I have to imagine that dudes who make it all the way to the NBA are by nature, pretty competitive.

I know I'd be pretty pissed if I came to work and the President of our company refused to turn a profit and had no interest in seeing the company succeed.

The 2002 A's had a 17 game stretch where they went 3-14 en route to their 103 win season.

We're just waiting for things to click that's all.

Speaking of which, I wonder how much it would cost Gores to bring in Billy Beane. If he's going on advanced stats and doesn't watch the games, who cares what sport it is? As an alternative, maybe we can hire Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill and see what they can do.

I noticed that all of our wins have come in the Eastern Conference. Could it be that Frank is sandbagging for the finals?

That move alone would double ticket sales.

Glad my (subconscious) optimism of not putting zero as an option was saved at the line.

That's the kind of thing that would make a man mess up another man's desk.

Didn't know where else to post this, but it was pretty funny.
Pistons Lose To Elementary School Girls Team After Big Night From 4'9" Center

This last bit was especially funny:

    1-2 on this stretch.
I think we can handle the 65-plus YMCA team but the Raps and the wheelchair team sound like trouble.

For some reason, I thought the 65-plus YMCA team was in the first 9 games. That's why I picked two wins in the poll. Argh!
