No Cheryl Ford, No Kara Braxton and only five mins of Plenette and no victory today... bad shooting by the remaining Shock ladies and hot shooting by the Sparks and the result is a long trip back to Motown..

The SHock looked like the Magic out there and the Sparks looked like the Lakers.....

They play three games and then have nine days off....maybe by then they can start defending the title.

Six Championship Drive is official now.

You may have to be an NBA All Access member to view as this is the official ring ceremony for the Shock on Monday night (they beat LA by 29) The Video starts at the 3:35 mark, so you will have to advance the slider to that mark.

There is 3 minute highlight reel of last years championship run including the sweep of San Antonio.

At the 7 minute mark is where the ceremony begins with a 2 minute tribute Mr D before they start to hand out the rings the ceremony is 14 mins. --anybody know how old Mrs. D is?? Can't be older than 60.?

Well, the ladies sure did take their revenge on LA 82-51. They allowed only 5 points in the 1st! Hope they can pull it together for another win tonight.

Looking at the video again at the 12:03 mark, Bill just patted Ms D her on the arm and kept going...so maybe he knew he was leaving or like Basketbills said, didn't want to let on that there was a deal on the table??

Either way, if we don't hear from Joe by the end of the week, then we are stuck with Curry through at least the end of November.

I wonder why Laimbeer left. Not much indication in the story that was posted earlier. Perhaps he is trying to work in the NBA as an assistant coach?

Despite the Shock's 5-9 record they are still only one game out of the final playoff spot even though they are currently sitting in last place. In other words, without Bill Laimbeer and an injured Plennette Pierson, there is still a faint hope of the Shock repeating..

I guess no one around here cares anymore, but at least our funky president showed the Shock more love today than The ESPY's did last week (they didn't even get a shout out/hi-lite when the ESPYs identified all of the reigning champs..)

Obama's speech must have been written 10 minutes beforehand as you could tell he was struggling without a teleprompter. At least the ladies got a third tour of the White House in the last five years while Rip, Tay etc are probably one and doners . :stirthepot: Even Bill got there again and got a chance to yell at the ladies for old times sake on the plane trip to DC...:)
