Of course anyone dumb enough to have traded two first round picks for a washed up McAdoo, probably wouldn't have been smart enough to have selected McHale and Parish. LOL 50 YEARS, 50 MEMORABLE MOMENTS
Actually, #53......Parish played center for the Golden State Warriors and was known as a worse malcontent than McAdoo. Ah, what a difference a BIRD makes. I dont know the Pistons worse TRADE, but here are my worst transactions based on my 40 years in Detroit: 1. Hiring Dick Vitale 2. Rodman for Sean Elliot (I never saw him smile 'once') 3. The McAdoo deal ( There was no knowledge we'd draft McHale) 4. Darko over Bosh (We'd be on 7 Championship Dr by now) 5. The TEAL uniforms 6. Moving to Auburn Hills(like the people out there needed jobs) 7. Hiring Fred McLeod 8. Signing Mohammad and #6 9. Not signing Ben Wallace back 10. The breakup of the Bad Boys one by one
Entertaining read. I would add the collision at Boston. That was what we would now call 'sprocketing' was that vinnie and dantley that knocked noggins?
Re: Worst Pistons Trade of All Time? I would really argue the Ben Wallace point. But I am in the holiday mood, so I'll just let it go.
i'd say the ben part i have to gracefully disagree with, i wish he was still here, but i have to lay the blame of his departure with him and not the pistons. He wanted the money, and now he has it and the baggage that comes with it. Ben signs that deal with us, and right now Murrey is our starting PG, AJ probably isn't resigned either....
Re: Worst Pistons Trade of All Time? What Ben Wallace Point. Trading him to Chicago was the worse trade the Pistons ever made? We didn't trade him to Chicago. Trading Atkins and G. Hill for Big Ben was the worse trade that the Pistons ever made. I doubt it!!!
Re: Worst Pistons Trade of All Time? Sorry about the confusion, but I don't see a reference to him or his post in your post.
