Mike Furrey looks forward to the day when his past as a defensive back is not brought up every time his name is mentioned. If the Detroit Lions wide receiver can keep up his pace for the final four games of the season, he might get his wish. Furrey has 65 receptions for 773 yards, ranking among NFC leaders in both categories, and four touchdowns.

He is the only guy that has heart on this team. Besides that his last name sounds like a cute cuddly animal. LOL!! :pound:

I think Furrey would make a PERFECT #3 slot receiver for this team. The problem is, we don't have a #2 guy, so he's playing out of position a bit. The other problem is that Mike Williams is too fat and slow to play outside.

Furrey is fearless. He kind of reminds me of Johnnie Morton. Not blazing fast, but solid hands and tough as nails.

We need a legitimate #2 guy next season. If Martz is still here, look for him to go after a smaller, quick veteran receiver.
