By what measure was he far and away the most efficient overall scorer? He was 10th in FG%, 12th in eFG%, and 5th in TS% (those rankings are on the team, not in the league).
I know we are going to be stuck with both BG and Maxiel until their contracts run out. I think they can move Hamilton now that he played better and only has a year left. Who I would keep are Monroe, JJ, Daye, Bynum and CV. Wilcox I am not sure about. Same with Stuckey. I just do not know if its too late for Stuck under better coaching ( assuming Dumars can pick a half way decent coach this time ). I actually like CV. He is on a high but manageable contract and I like his energy. If he play more D would be a pretty solid player.
maxiell will be on the active roster: wilcox gets better contract and bigben is semiretired anyway - most probalby won't play after a lockout year much. And regardless of coach - the saga of starting SG continiues til one of known playes is out of town.
Hire Van Gundy out of Orlando. He'll bring Nelson along and Howard will follow Nelson. Then trade Nelson, fire Van Gundy, and start all over with Dwight.
Perceptively true. You might have the opportunity to make wholesale changes this summer. I see two main groups to concentrate on: Another companion(s) for Monroe and a solid three. In a wholesale move you might get a secondary mixture of some solid 1-2. At least three/five players need to move. Washington and Cleveland have some nice combinations that might work out for all concerned. Like I mentioned before: Stuckey and Monroe are the only ones not moving and the former will have to prove he can develop into a point guard, providing he can keep his head straight. The Pistons first selection will be a big and I doubt that they deviate from this concentration in the second round. The majority of the players are revolving starter/bench players and you will have to sweeten the pot with someone like Gordon. I expect that he will be traded if you want to gain 1-2 starters that can hold their positions. Gores will have to wheel-and-deal rather quickly over the summer.
After Drafting Kemba The very first thing I would do...now many of u will not agree...is change the unis and our colors. maybe the old 90's colors anyone?
If we keep this motley crew, then we need a strong coach who will gain the respect of the players. Phil Jackson should be leaving LA, but he does not provide that type of leadership. He's the kind of coach who woulda worked in 2006...not 2012. I really don't see a coach who would give the team all they need, unless they shake up the roster and ship out some of the malcontents.
I think it's time for fresh blood. We should go after Spoelstra's assistant. Can't remember his name, but the guy's an offensive genius.
So were Q and Twitch. Do a google search for either one along with the words "offensive genius" and you'll have plenty of links touting them as such.
I'd rather have a "leader of men" type of guy than any sort of genius. Genius can be an assistant on the team, I need Alpha Male running the show.
I guess I wasn't clear. What I meant was: [SARCASM] I think it's time for fresh blood. We should go after Spoelstra's assistant. Can't remember his name, but the guy's an offensive genius. [/SARCASM] You know, becasue we hired Q who supposedly was the offensive genius behind Mike Brown. But it was all because of LeBron. And now LeBron is in Miami. Ah, forget it... :nerd2:
Q was hired for a number of reasons and neither dealt with hidden genius. First, he came cheap. Second, he had a tract record of longevity, where behind the scenes perspectives make head coaches pseudo-genius. Third, and most important, it was expected that a continuouence of X/O's would be all that was needed and the auto-pilot coming from the players reactions would make the club playoff bound. Thus, the myth-building continued for JD's overt and non-creative slow ride into the realm of the perfect looking lady, with just a slight, crooked smile.
I would make several trades (Ben Gordon and Rip) to relieve some cap spaces. Ben Gordon proved to being an unachiever.
