Apparently David Aldridge said on TNT on Thursday that the Pistons are possibly looking into acquiring Zach Randolph.

Anyone see this, or heard anything on local radio, etc?

Who would they be looking to give up to get him?

That would be putting a lot of faith in the stablizing influence of the mature Pistons.

You could trade Davis and Nazr straight up, but then Sheed would become the full time center (the only center). I'm not sure how draft picks are valued in trades so not sure what you can do with them.

    Anyway, pretty scary.

    Pacer material?

I'm not too sure Dale Davis would like going back to Portland. He's finally getting to see some playing time, and they already have way too many centres. Maybe the Blazers would thrown in one of their crappy ones as well. Awesome!

I'm not too sure I'd like to this go down even if he were to be had on the cheap.

that would be cruel to send anyone to portland, but i'd take randolph in a second. he's steadily averaged 25-30 and 10 the entire season. plus izzo could keep him in line. :D are you sure you heard this though? i listened to most of the TNT broadcast and heard no mention of this.

heh this is the 3rd guy i've said i'd take. so all we need to do is get gasol, randolph, and mopete without giving up any starters, and it looks like we'll be ready to go haha.

I'd take Magloire in a heartbeat- decent rebounder, solid D. A starting 5 of CB, RIP, Tay, Randoplh and Sheed would be simply awesome- but the bench would probably become even weaker... and our problem is not the starting unit but the bench...

Aldridge isn't one to make it up or toss crap out there to see if it sticks. Not that I'm advocating this, but one tends to believe him more than Vescey or that ilk.

I don't think the pro athletes pay speeding tickets in Serbia. It is a cultural thing. As far as the tinting the Windows go. Bill Gates should have thought of that idea a long time ago rather than wait until Vista.

It's BS. You can watch the segment from Inside the NBA on NBA.com. Aldridge is around the 16 minute mark. He talks about the Bulls, not the Pistons, going after Randolph.

You gotta hope that's true - if just for the soap opera value alone. Zach and Skiles - oh yeah.

I just finished watching Zack Randolph try to beat the Magic singlehandedly. He is a true black hole. He is hard to stop, especially when he gets ALL the calls. First Battie, then Darko, and finally Dwight tried and noone could stop him in the second half. Darko and Battie did well on him the first half; I thjink he was 2 out of 10.

If the Pistons got him, nobody else would do much shooting; he takes all the shots.

The second reason I don't like him is that he looks like "Fatwan" Walker.

He certainly can score but I don't think he is a good match for the Pistons. I think they would have to give someone of some stature for him and I would rather have that one, instead.

He can get to the hole a lot better than any big the Pistons have.

His game reminds me a little of Sir Charles but of course Randolph's game is not on that level .
    :hoops:
