Isiah Thomas to serve as New York Knicks' consultant - ESPN New York

I must say, I was disappointed to read he does not have any interest to coach on the NBA level though. I can't see anybody giving him a second chance as an NBA GM. You can't be trigger happy as a GM and I think Zeke does not have the patience for it. I think he has the brains for it, just not the patience.

Isn't there a built-in conflict of interest in being a college coach and working for an NBA team? I think the league and the NCAA will look into this.

There is a blog attached to the article that talks about that. Apparently the NCAA signed off on this.

I think he'll get a second chance. At 6"1 and 180 he never failed to not only get up off the floor - but he made amends. I don't see this any different. He was talent and he knows talent. I think the fat lady's warbling is still a long way off..

Man those guys were good. Those bounce pass alley-oops of Zeke were a thing of beauty.

They were crazy good, and tough. Those 3 years, 88, 89 and 90 were probably the 3 best years of basketball I will ever see.

Younger fans aren't that familiar with Thomas' body of work, but he was one of the greatest to play the game. There is no one in the NBA today who approaches his combination of heart and skill.

Good to see you posting here Murph.
I'm pulling for Zeke to make a splash down there. Looks like he's on the right track. Love to see some tourney appearances and a NBA draft pick or two coming out of that program. It be neat to see FIU become a Point Guard factory.
