It's time for Mike Ilitch to live up to his end of the bargain like he promised, and give the thumbs to Dave Dombrowski to go out and get that big left-handed bat that we desperately need to help push us through to the postseason.

He sure talked a good game, all those years when the Red Wings were doing well, (as Jim Hawkins points out in this article) how once the Tigers showed competitive play on the field he would do his part to help push them through to the playoffs.

Well, the time has come for him to live up to his promises and help push this ballclub straight into the postseason and send this town into a frenzy that it has has been craving (and missing) for far too long now, mostly due to his own incompetence and negligence.

The fans are packing the ballpark on a regular basis now and starting to develop a whole new fan base. He needs to reward them for their support.

So let's go Mike, time to step up to the plate!
