After being swept for just the second time this season, the Detroit Tigers look to end their longest losing streak of the year when they open a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park on Monday.

Looks like we stopped the bleeding. Tigers win 7-3. A huge win for the tigs to get that losing streak of their backs. Dmitri and Vance had an excellent game, and Robertson did pretty good, made Ortiz hitless. The only thing is the white sox murdered the Royals.
Wait for tomorrow's matchup. Bonderman vs Schilling

Re: Tigers vs. BOSOX series

That was a big hit by VW.

Hopefully this gets us going again. It's nice when the White Sox lose, but if we take care of business we don't need to worry about them.

Big play at the plate by the Tigers in the bottom of the eighth.

Tate the Sox were desperate and it didn't work. They needed a bad throw.
Bonderman vs Shill, this would be no contest last year. I like our chances. Sox will have to deal with the Yanks starting Friday.

Re: Tigers vs. BOSOX series

Rodriguez has been struggling (every time I type that word, I can hear a drunk Joe Namath slurring the heck out of it).

Maybe he needed the day off. Lord knows, I traded a lot for him when I could have had Granderson for free. C'mon Tigers! I don't have any Red Sox on my fantasy team!

Re: Tigers vs. BOSOX series

The Tigers go up against Schilling tonight. He's going for his 15th win, but he had his last start was bad (against the last place royals) He surrendered a season-high 11 hits -including 10 for extra bases - and five runs in 7 1/3 innings of a 5-4 loss.
Hopefully the tigers do the same type of thing, but get even more runs...

I wonder if Inge will swing at Schilling's high cheese? Inge is a sucker for the high, hard stuff. Bonderman will have his work cut out for him. I think Big Papi is tired of being in a slump.

Re: Tigers vs. BOSOX series

Tigers win (so Red sox lose).

White sox lose.

All is well again.
