| Re: Tigers move on to ALCS! Has anybody here heard of the Neifi index? It was calculated in 2003 by a sports writer when he realized that the Giants had a .929 winning percentage with Neifi on the bench and a percentage of .542 when he played. The differential was greater than that of the best team in baseball vs. the worst team. The curious phenomenon has followed Neifi since then and can maybe explain the horrible slump the Tigers went through when Perez subbed in for Polonco. |
