Re: PF.com Fantasy Baseball?

You guys are way to hard on Roscoe. Show him a little love. His hockey team is in the dumpers, and its been a tough week for him.

My draft was O.K. I've a great infield (Degado, Polanco, Jeter, Rolen and Pudge). I wanted Maurer, but Gazoo snached him away one step before I could get him. He did the same to me on Joe Nathan, but there will come a time of retribution. (I've still got Rivera and Lidge.)

Someone asked about using 7 pitchers. REMEMBER, we set the lineups for A FULL WEEK. So, you have to have enough pitchers in the lineup to cover all seven days. Guys on the bench on Monday will be there ALL WEEK! Same with position players. there are NO SUBSTITUTIONS during the week.

I haven't figured out just where all the extra postion players fit in. Can they only play the position they were drafted for?? Can they also play the utility positon? If your 2B gets hurt, and you don't have another guy who plays 2B, What then?? Are you short the rest of the week and have to go and get a free agent to fill that positon??

My outfield is weak, but I figure I'll use the old Tater/Roscoe plan of swapping out Free Agents. Find a guy who is hot, play him until he cools off, and swap him out for the next hot one. There are tons of outfielders, and someone who we've never heard of will have a good year, and I'll suck him up!!!

I've already started the plan by dumping Colon (who's hurt and I didn't know it) and picking up Glavine.

ISN'T THIS FUN!!!!

By the way, I didn't get Nathan. I have F-Rod.

I believe you can put anyone in the UTIL position. Obviously, you don't want to put a pitcher in there. If you're 2B gets hurt and you don't have another guy to play it, yes, you either go short or pick someone else up fast. You're allowed to carry an extra guy when someone is on the DL, I believe.

Re: PF.com Fantasy Baseball?

Be honest guys...my team sucks, does it not?

I have no clue who anyone is or what to do.

No trades for me till I figure it out. Well...IF I ever do!

Re: PF.com Fantasy Baseball?

Your pitching looks a little weak, but your batting for RBI, SB and HR is pretty impressive.

I know you will be working the internet to figure it out. I'm sure you will do fine.

Re: PF.com Fantasy Baseball?

Any more bad jokes??

Hmm, with wang out of action, micro won't be getting to first base for a while.

You can't put a pitcher in UTIL from my understanding.

Anyone want to analyse my squad? I think i got some good players because 'baseballers' keeps making me trade offers. probably trying to take advantage of the new guy. but i'm learning who's good and who's bad, and i think he was trying to low-ball me on my pitcher. sneaky little guy!

Re: PF.com Fantasy Baseball?

UTIL is batters only.

webz, I'm no expert, but your team looks pretty good.

If you see an opportunity, don't be afraid to move any of your low batting % guys.

Re: PF.com Fantasy Baseball?

Since we're all getting a free Dr. Phil treatment, HOW DOES MY TEAM LOOK???

Nobody is making any trade offers to me. Is that good? or bad?

Give me a couple of weeks to see how my guys play. I've never made a trade (even in the hockey league) . Its not that I don't trust you fellows......

Yeah, I couldn't believe the offer baseballers made to me. I'm new to fantasy baseball, but I know not to trade a 4th round pick for a guy who should be on the free agent list.

Hey, if someone needs a really good shortstop I'll trade him for a good pitcher. Roscoe says I need one, so I'll trust the wangless one.
