I'm still trying to figure when my starters will pitch. The little ^ thingy helps, but do they always start on a 5-day rotation?? Seems like it. So while your opponent is raking up K's, your guys are on the bench. That's hard on the patience.

My hitters all went south this past week, maybe they'll all get healthy at the same time. I still haven't decided whether its best to load up on RP.
And how many hitters do we really need on the BN (big numbers). It would be nice to swap out injured guys for a few days where necessary instead of having to carry them a whole week before changing.

Oh well, I'll get it figured out eventually.

I don't like the once a week line ups. A guy goes cold or gets injured you want to put him on the bench. Instead he just racks up zero's or strikeouts.

I'm pretty sure that you're just joking here, but just to be sure, and because there are several "first timers" in our league, BN is the "Bench" position. Players on the Bench don't earn any points for the week, no matter how well they do.

I was only having fun with Darth when I told him it stood for "Big Numbers".

Ok, I just wanted to clear that up. I'd hate for anyone to think I was being serious about the BN position and start putting their best players there for the week!

I like it. Means I have to pay less attention to it. Just set the lineups on Sunday.

And you also don't have to worry about your opponent dropping and adding guys all week long to get extra games in.

Folks, this requires you to do a little more research in advance. When you set your lineups, you gotta know who is starting and when. You gotta look at how many games the guy has the next week.

There is a totally different strategic element to setting lineups weekly.

I see your point just hard to get used to. My team has not been very lucky so far with guy's getting injured on a Monday.

The droping and adding players to get extra games probably would help more in baseball I suppose. I have found that in fantasy basketball it rarely helps because while you may gain in a few categories you end up tanking others so it becomes a wash.

I like it too. It's completely different than any other league I've been in. Less work involved too!

There is a hockey site that predicts starting goaltenders for the following week. But do you know of one that lists probable pitchers for the week? If not, is there any other way to check? I'm not sure of the best way to go about researching.

Re: PF.com Fantasy Baseball?

I go about this simply.

When a guy is due to start, there is a little arrow on his name (per the given day).

As mentioned earlier, I like to pitch as many games as possible. Gives you a chance at strikeouts and wins, and if your pitchers are good, WHIP, ERA shouldn't be too bad either.

So anyone who pitches on a Monday gets the go ahead in my lineup. They'll probably pitch on the backend of the week.

No, I don't have a site for it. I'm kinda hoping you guys kick my butt at this. I'm not a big baseball guy.

Hey, Yahoo fantasy has come a long way. There might be something right on Yahoo that tells you the projected rotation order.

I use MLB.com they have the probable pitchers for a couple days in advance.
