BillLaimbeer? Zoso? Motown Pride?

Anyone want to pressure some friends to join PF and play?

I got Darth, Gazoo, Bezeach, myself, jammertime. Possibly Woody if he can fit it in his golf schedule.

I perused the old baseball threads and it seems we have some more fans out there who haven't responded. Don't make me call names and embarass you.

That means you Prof, Old skool, Tashawn, Dre, Detteam, Wart, TFD, Lazy, and Merc.

I've never played fantasy baseball either, so jump in with the rest of us newbies. (I'm not sure if anyone other than Roscoe has played before and his teams always suck anyhow, so don't let that intimidate you).

Tater:

You have convinced me to join.

I'M IN!!!

You're right about Roscoe's teams always sucking. Just look how he is choking in the Hockey league. He's headed for fourth against a buch of us newbies.

If he's running it, we'll have to watch out for his frequent moves and poor management.

We do get to talk smack don't we???

Good deal Woody! I've enjoyed our hockey rivalry immensely. Now the battle continues.

Another thing about Roscoe running the leagues...he is CORRUPT!

Re: PF.com Fantasy Baseball?

I don't know the finer points about baseball but I would like to try if you guys don't mind having a novice.

Besides, baseball is a poor mans cricket so how hard can it be?

PS - What does RBI stand for?

Re: PF.com Fantasy Baseball?

Runs Batted In.

In baseball you can score runs with a hit without scoring a run yourself (no running between wickets). You "bat in" a player already "on base" (first, second or third base).

You are 100% welcome to play.

thanks roscoe for the RBI definition. so if you hit a home run with bases loaded you get 4 RBI right?
i know how to play baseball but i've got no idea how the stats or fantasy stats work and i may have heard of about 2 players. (thanks to seinfeld)

i hope someone posts a short 'how to' guide like in fantasy bball forum.

Re: PF.com Fantasy Baseball?

Welcone webz!!!

I'm as new at this as you are. I know a lot of baseball players, but because I'm sooo old, I don't know anyone playing since 1965. (The year I got married).

Don't worry, Roscoe and Tater will give us lots of advice (just don't follow any of it). Bezeach never posts, so he's no help. His team is usually in first place and he's sort of like the Yankees. Jammer is another Canadian and you know how the Expos did.

Why hasn't Aurora signed up? If she's going to talk smack, she's got to play!!

ISN'T THIS FUN!!!
