The funny thing is that I'm thinking about keeping him still. He has been bashed a couple of times by the Twins, but other than that, he has pitched very well. We'll see.

Hell, a pitcher who only gives up 11 earned runs in a game actually helps MY pitching stats!

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. In that case, I hope I'm playing you next week!

Roscoe and Webz did some damage. Boo hiss on Webz.

(It's counter intuitive but I'm rooting for Roscoe in his match against Bezeach since Bezeach is closest in the standings to me).
Wow! Just thought i'd share with you Morneau's stats in that double-header.

6-10, 6 R, 3 HR, 9 RBI

But still wasn't enough to do any real damage as your guys turned it up a notch too. Also I missed out on Kornerko's 4-7, 2, 1, 2 on the bench. Grrr...

So it's tied 5-5 with 2 days to go. I need my pitchers to step up this weekend. Big Z and Big Kaz c'mon fellas!

As much as I'd like to, I'm afraid it's against the rules...

So, um... congrats on that.

Here's just a small sample of the many, MANY articles about the Phillies futility. I'm sure that if I searched long enough, I could find an article for each of the Phillies 10,000 losses.

Phillysucks.com - 10,000 losses close to a reality for the Phillies....

Phillies Continue Inexorable March Toward 10,000 Losses - Sports Blog - The FanHouse

FanNation | Waiver Wire's Blog | Phillies' 10,000 Losses Should be Honoured

FOX Sports on MSN - MLB - Phillies nearing loss No. 10,000 <this one has a nice little piece about when the Blue Jays beat the Phillies in the World Series.

Jammer,

That's why I love the Phililies. Back in 1972, when I was 13, I was a Tigers fan (still am), but there was this Phillies team that won only 59 games. Steve Carlton a southpaw won 27 of them!!! So I loved those loveable losers and adopted them as my team. They finally won a world series in the 80's with Larry Bowa, Pete Rose, Mike Shmidt, and a few others.

So the loser label doesn't bother me.

Actually, I do have a story to go with that, but I'll share it another time since it will just give you guys more ammunition to use on me.

Webz,

Looks like I took almost all the pitching cats somehow. Great match that fell my way 8-2. Your hitters had an incredible 6 homers today to tie me in that category.

Woody,

You are the only team I still haven't beat this year (we tied last time). Go figure!! It's a short week. Anything can happen. Be ready. I want revenge. What are you...like 45 games back at the all star break. No wonder you aren't having any fun. I'll put Barry Bonds in my roster just for kicks.

Everyone in the league:

Take heart. It's only the regular season. Not sure how I got so far ahead
of the 2nd place team...what..over 17 games? Good job Roscoe. I'll remember to share a glass of my victory champagne with you in September.
I can suggest a place where you guys can buy discount binoculars so you don't totally lose sight of me. Let me know.

Re: PF.com Fantasy Baseball?

I don't care what you say, you're a mess to deal with!!

We'll see how the second half goes.

Enjoy your ride while you can. It will come to an inglorious end all too soon.

And with your lack of humility, it will be all the harder to take.

Isn't there a rule somewhere that your winning percentage has to be above .375 before you can talk trash?

I thought I remember reading that somewhere.
