Tates was probably up all night plotting his draft strategy. Being the best at fantasy sport can cause a lot of sleepless hours. It takes determination to stay on top. This is why I try to be the worst. That way, I sleep much more.

I'll never forgive Woody from stealing 10th place from me last season.

In all honesty Green Man, I woke up a half hour ago and was like...Ohhhh, I guess I better go plan my draft strategy.

Cannuckian:Yes, we do have clocks here. Would you like to borrow mine? I heard your rooster was eaten by a sea lion.

Don't worry. 90% of the thinking and time in this league will be done by Darth Tater.

Yeah, but sadly I only get about 88% of the wins in the league.
I need to try harder.

Roscoe, once again you have cast the first stone. Let the games begin!!!

Well, the draft ran smoothly. How does everyone feel about their team?

Re: PF.com Fantasy Baseball 2008

I wasn't able to attend the draft. I just checked out my roster and it looks kind of weak.

It looks like I'll be really strong in stolen bases but not really strong in the rest of the categories. I'll need all of my guys to have career years just to keep pace in the HR and RBI categories.

I'll definitely need an upgrade at catcher and closer. My pitchers had a combined 9 saves last year.

Re: PF.com Fantasy Baseball 2008

My pitching has some question marks. I'm not sure where Joba Chamberlain will be pitching yet -- if he'll be a starter or reliever. Also, I took Liriano and Pedro. Liriano is returning from Tommy John surgery and Pedro is just plain old. And can Bedard live up to the hype?

I'm pretty weak in the OF, too. But, overall, I like my team. I got Cabrera at 3B and Ichiro (for his steals). I think Tejada can do well in Houston with that short left-field porch.

I'm most disappointed in my Evan Longoria pick. It says "NA" next to his name. ???? I wonder what Tony Parker did to him? I guess I'll be dumping him.

I'm sure Laimbeer's son will be proposing trades with me and the other teams as soon as possible.

Re: PF.com Fantasy Baseball 2008

I feel pretty good about my picks. I caouldn't believe Chase Utley almost fell to me at tenth. I would have taken him first, lol.

Anyhow, I am pleased with Jimmy Rollins and Ryan Braun as my bang bang #10 &11 picks. Also joining my team from last years squad are Pat Burrell Tim Lincecum, and Yovani Gallardo. Also for brief stints I had Kelly Johnson, Shane Victorino, Carlos Marmol, Kevin Gregg, Zack Greinke, and Justin Upton.

Of course, doing that didn't work out so well with my hockey team this year.

I was careful to get a good catcher and relief pitchers this year, which I didn't have last year. I figured it's much easier to get outfielders off the wire than a quality relief pitcher.

I was so strong up the middle last year, but I couldn't do anything about that this year.

I'm hoping some of my youngsters do well.

Overall, I think I'm fairly solid and will be competitive, but that's impossible to say this early. Usually, about 3 guys that I drafted are still on my team after the first month!!

Looking at everyones team I didn't see anyone with a bad team, but I really don't know the players that well.

Looks like a great group. Should be a fun season. Good luck to all!
