Only if he can pitch

Tigers have DH spot. Pitchers only hit in the other league.

Have a nice day.

Re: TIGERS 08 SEASON THREAD

I canceled my mlb.com subscription. No way am I going to keep watching these guys. 16 wins in 38 games isn't enough to justify my $19.99 a month.

I'll continue to follow the team, of course, as most of us will, but at some point you have to wonder when they're gonna turn it on. The season is nearly 25 percent over. Lucky for them, the Central looks like a free-for-all.

I'm just sort of commenting on the progression in general:

We can't pitch (me)---see ya next year (TFD)---maybe Barry Bonds is the answer (Mik)---you don't know the rules idiot (Mik)---I'm cancelling my subscription (Gaz)---etc.

I still think it is possible that they can make the playoffs, but I agree with you that we probably don't have a team that is cabable of winning it all. Cheering is futile.

I'm dumb enough to listen for signs of hope.
And rebuff the dispare.

Re: TIGERS 08 SEASON THREAD

Jeremy Bonderman is leading this team down the path of mediocrity. We need pitching...

Re: TIGERS 08 SEASON THREAD

Power pitchers...their arms fall off. Sooner or later you got to throw junk. So mix some junk in there.

Exclamation Re: TIGERS 08 SEASON THREAD

I think I figured it out guys.
Tigers can't deal with all the Wing and Piston euphoria.
As soon as the Wings and the Pistons finish up, magicly Rogers and Verlander will find their zone. They're jealous.
If not we got nothing.
Big win streak middle of June.
