I asked them why would they think I'd come from the East Coast ALLLL the way to Denver to go BACK to Philly!!???? So I went to Friday's game in the crap I wore on the plane.
First, let me say that Diamondback park is one beyoootiful setting. We sat above the 3rd base line and thechairs were comfy and majestic. The food was soso but I enjoyed my two hotdogs, fries and 2 beers. The popup dropped by Guillen and Renteria looked like a play out of Parenthood. We pitched well enough to win but ...o well.
Second, I had a great time also at saturdays game. We were 20 rows up behind first base. Great seats. Joyce had a cool home run. There were about 25 Tiger Fans with us and we OWNED the stadium. We booed everytime someone in a Dback jersey stood up. It was funny. Todd Jones gave us gas again, but after we won, it seemed better than a Stanley Cup.
I finally got my luggage last night 'round 10:00PM. Tigers lose 4-0.

17-27

...still just CANT GET RIGHT!
You mean you didn't have time to stop by the arena Saturday afternoon to boo the Phoenix Mercury for stealing the Shocks" ring. At least to get a close up of Candace Parker stealing the glory from Tarasi and Cappy

Re: TIGERS 08 SEASON THREAD

Interesting article here. Leyland blows a head gasket:

The Official Site of Major League Baseball: News: Leyland fires back on Grilli's remarks

Tom Gage, Tigers beat writer for the Detroit News, said a lot of Leyland's language had to be deleted. Wow, I'd love to see the video of this or hear the audio.

Those are some strong words. And I kind of understand where he's coming from. They should really just be playing and trying to get it together.

Re: TIGERS 08 SEASON THREAD

21 runs in two games...thats more like it...pitchers give up 12 runs in two days...same ole stuff there , but at least a 2 game mini win streak in progress.

Re: TIGERS 08 SEASON THREAD

A sweep for the Tigers and Brandon back in the fold. A double and triple yesterday and a three run Homer today.

or the Rangers as we feasted on their pitching too outscoring them 37-10 back in April in a 3 game series..of course they are playing a little better now.

When is the last time the Verlander, the Gambler and Bondy all picked up consecutive victories??
