The Tiger were shut out for the 8th time which leagues the majors..

You all recall Jair Jurrgens the guy the Tigers traded to the Braves for Rinteria.

He has had 10 starts with a record on 5-2 and an ERA of 2.64. That my friends would make him the Tiger ace if he was still here. I say that as I saw Rinteria come up twice today with runners on base and he could not knock them in. he is however 3rd on the Tiger list in RBI with 24
What? no one corrected me?? It was the bottom of the 12 inning not the ninth as the Tiger pitchers with the Gambler leading the way went 11 and a 3rd innings without giving up a run....

But alas the team that scored 54 runs in 4 games last week could not get not a single 1 in twelve innings last night after their playoff brothers (Wings and Pistons )had prevailed earlier across the country in Motown.

Actually, it was the bottom of the 12th, not the 9th.

It was the bottom of the 12th in Detroit, but only the bottom of the 9th in California... 3 hour inning time difference.

I noticed it Dre, but figured it was late and besides, I didn't want to sound like Bill Laimbeer. HE may work for peanuts, but I don't.

Re: TIGERS 08 SEASON THREAD

Ok well tonight it was the bottom of the ninth and they lost again by one run.

That's two consecutive wasted pitching performances by Rodgers and Bonderman as the Tigers bats took the nigh off and the relievers walked batters who eventually scored on push other runners across the plate. the bad then about tonight is that Bondy had only thrown 83 pitches and JL yanked him...what's a pitcher got to do around the Tiger clubhouse to get a chance at a complete game victory? many certain tiger victories were blown last year due to the Leyland hook...give us break and let the guys pitch if the still got something left in the tank.
