Re: TIGERS 08 SEASON THREAD

Thames. 8 straight hits of his have been HR's. That HAS to be an MLB record. It just has to be. I don't even need confirmation to know that it is.

Looks like we have solved our left fielder/ DH problem. He's hitting a heavy .250, that is for sure.

yep and they confirmed it today on ESPN Still it is remarkable feat. Sounds like the stuff Willie Horton used to do in the 60's

Re: TIGERS 08 SEASON THREAD

Now, if he can remain consistent and get consistent playing time...
Also, Tigers are looking at pitcher Garcia, who is recuperating after the surgery and should be ready to pitch in abou a month or so. He's a FA.

Willie hit the flag pole in Tiger stadium once. The ball was STILL RISING... His home runs were mostly line drives.

Re: TIGERS 08 SEASON THREAD

Tigers win 8th out of 9 and are only four games below .500. Too bad the team does not play in the National League. Galarraga has been a huge surprise. I wonder what they thought of him during spring training.

I remember someone saying about a month ago that since there would be no room for him when Willis returned that he be sent back to the minors???
