The announcers the other day threw out the stat that our starting pitchers have about a 2.5 ERA in the last 25 starts. Now that they are rolling and we have more options in the pen, and Thames has become a stud, and Polanco is on fire, etc... things are looking up.

Also, Bonine has been OK so far. I didn't get to watch Zumaya yesterday, but he looked pretty decent in his first outing.

We swept the Sox and the Cubs swept the Sox. Can't ask for much more than that.

Next up...rematch of the Cards from 2006 W/S..As long as our pitchers don't have any fielding or throwing errors , we should be take two of three from them at home and possibly sweep the Rockies over the weekend. Then the test is in Minneapolis next week.

Pujols iz out, so the series is there for the taking. Rockies are another beatable opponent. Lets hope Tigs can go 5-1 on this homestand before heading to Minneapolis. After that it is Tigers' another favorite opponent - Seattle. So, potentially we can be looking at 9-3 stretch.

The gambler struggled tonight and this looked like the old tigers....lets hope they rebound and get the next two from the cards.....and then sweep the Rockies....

Rogers and Dolsi got bombarded tonight. Not a great beginning to the series. White Sox won, so the lead grows.

DETROIT -- Tigers catcher Vance Wilson, 35, has experienced another setback in his efforts to recover from a right elbow injury.

The Tigers said Wilson underwent yet another surgery on the elbow Tuesday at Detroit Medical Center because of a tearing of the previously grafted ulnar collateral ligament.

Team officials called Tuesday's surgery a "right elbow reconstruction revision."

The Tigers lost the first game to St. Louis?? That's it, I'm DONE with this team!! Let's see how they like losing ME as a fan!! It'll make a comeback playoff berth seem just bittersweet!
