Re: TIGERS 08 SEASON THREAD

I would add that they shouldn't wait that long with an instant replay. It would be lots quicker than having umps huddle for a decision on fair/foul, etc. or having manager come out and argue. If someone is sitting upstairs, ala NHL, the decision would take seconds to make.

Re: TIGERS 08 SEASON THREAD

Impressive outing by a rookie. He gets better with every game. Rockies have been struggling as of late, though. But I'll take it in every way. Granderson went 4-5 with 2 triples. And that another rookie, Clete Thomas, he went 3-3 with a walk filling in for Thames. There are some good young players on the team, and the future is not looking all that bad.

Re: TIGERS 08 SEASON THREAD

Another win tonight. This time after Jones blows his first save of the year. He gives up 4 on the top of the 9th to put Rockies on top 6-5 only to have Cabrera double in Rayburn and Polanco to win it 7-6. This is huge. Maybe will get Cabrera going.

Re: TIGERS 08 SEASON THREAD

Took 80 games, but Tigers finally get back to .500 for the first time since the first day of these seaon where they were 0-0.

So far 17-8 in June including 16 of their last 20. Made up some games, but still stuck on five games back since the Twins and Chisox have matched our winning ways the past 10 days...Twins finally lost tonight after winning 10 games in row.

Go get'em Tigers, the race and the season is not over....

Re: TIGERS 08 SEASON THREAD

We're winning games in the late innings. Couldn't do that in April.
